Review Moderation Policy
How patient reviews are submitted, moderated, and published on our directory.
Review Sources
Fertility Clinic Finder displays two types of patient reviews:
- Google ratings: Aggregate star ratings and review counts sourced from Google Places. These are displayed as-is and are not moderated by us.
- Site-submitted reviews: Reviews submitted directly through our clinic listing pages. These are moderated before publication.
How to Submit a Review
Patients can submit a review on any clinic listing page using the review form. Reviews require:
- Your name (displayed publicly)
- Your email address (not displayed; used for verification if needed)
- A star rating (1–5)
- Written feedback about your experience
Moderation Standards
All site-submitted reviews are held for moderation before publication. Our moderation process evaluates reviews against the following standards:
Reviews We Publish
- Genuine patient experiences, both positive and negative
- Specific, constructive feedback about care quality, communication, wait times, billing, or outcomes
- Reviews that are respectful even when critical
Reviews We Reject
- Fake reviews: Submissions from clinic staff, competitors, or marketing agencies posing as patients
- Spam: Promotional content, links, or irrelevant material
- Abusive content: Personal attacks, threats, hate speech, or discriminatory language
- Privacy violations: Reviews that disclose other patients' personal or medical information
- Unverifiable claims: Allegations of illegal activity or malpractice that we cannot verify (we may refer these to appropriate authorities)
Clinic Responses
Clinics that have claimed their listing can view reviews through their owner portal. We do not allow clinics to remove or edit patient reviews. Clinics may contact us to flag reviews they believe violate our moderation standards, and we will re-evaluate.
Rating Display Policy
Clinics with fewer than 5 reviews display a "New Listing" badge instead of a numeric rating. This prevents small sample sizes from creating misleading impressions. Once a clinic accumulates 5 or more reviews, the aggregate rating is displayed.
No Pay-for-Reviews
We do not accept payment in exchange for publishing, removing, or altering reviews. Premium listing status has no effect on review visibility, moderation decisions, or displayed ratings. See our Advertising Disclosure for more details.

If you believe a review on our site violates these standards, please email [email protected] with the clinic name and your concern. We review all reports within 5 business days.
