We prioritize the following source types, in order of preference:
- Peer-reviewed clinical studies from journals such as Fertility and Sterility, Human Reproduction, and The New England Journal of Medicine
- Government data from the CDC, NIH, and FDA
- Professional guidelines from ASRM, SART, and ESHRE
- Verified clinic-reported data and direct provider communications
We do not cite promotional materials, press releases, or unverified patient testimonials as evidence.
Update Cadence
Published articles are reviewed on a rolling basis. Each article displays its original publication date, last editorial review date, and last update date. Articles covering time-sensitive topics (costs, insurance mandates, success rates) are prioritized for review when new data becomes available.
When the CDC releases updated ART success rate data, we update all relevant articles and clinic profiles within 30 days of publication.
